Dr Claire Whitefield - Psychotherapist
Claire is an ACP registered consultant child and adolescent psychotherapist, with over 15 years’ experience of working in the field of mental health. She provides psychoanalytic psychotherapy for children and young people with low mood or depression, relationship difficulties, early signs of or recovery from eating disorder, attachment difficulties and complex trauma.
She also delivers parent-infant therapy, group work for adolescents, EMDR, Narrative Story Stem assessments, parent-child psychotherapy and attachment work and reflective practice for teams.
She is an experienced supervisor of trainee and qualified child psychotherapists and clinicians from other disciplines. Prior to qualifying as a child psychotherapist, she worked in residential social care (with children in care) and youth and community services.
